CTE Wind acquires Peikko’s wind design team

Peikko Group Corporation, a leading global supplier of concrete connections and composite structures, and CTE Wind International, a global engineering company providing foundation design services for onshore wind turbines, have signed an agreement where a team of experienced designers from Peikko will join CTE Wind International.

Both companies have operated in the wind energy sector for a long time, CTE Wind since 2003 and Peikko since 2010. This agreement will boost CTE Wind's growth and allow Peikko to focus on its core business of manufacturing and developing products for wind turbine foundation applications. This team based in Riga, Latvia, will form a new CTE Wind office for the Nordics and Baltics.

We are pleased to execute this agreement with an industry leader CTE Wind, which has the right skillset to manage and develop the design team to the next level. At Peikko, we now have the possibility to focus on developing our solutions, particularly in the post-tension rock anchoring area. Existing and new customers will be taken care of well”, says Topi Paananen, CEO, Peikko Group Corporation.

We have known Peikko for many years, and we welcome the team of experienced designers to join our global team, to become our ninth CTE Wind office in nine countries. We firmly believe in the future of wind turbine foundations in the Nordic region and for this reason, we need more capacity to meet the requirements of our customers“, says Alexander Martin, CEO, CTE Wind International.
