Peikko's DELTABEAM® has been granted a new Avis Technique by the French building authority CSTB, providing designers and contractors with officially validated guidance for using DELTABEAM® in construction projects across France.
France is widely recognised as one of Europe's most demanding and regulation-driven construction markets. Obtaining an Avis Technique — a technical approval issued by the Centre Scientifique et Technique du Bâtiment (CSTB) — is a prerequisite for specifying innovative structural solutions with confidence in the French market.
With this new approval in place, designers and contractors working on French projects can now reference a clear, nationally validated technical document when specifying DELTABEAM®. This significantly simplifies both the specification process and project acceptance, reducing uncertainty and saving time at critical stages of a project.
A milestone for seismic design
The significance of this approval extends beyond the French market. For the first time, DELTABEAM® has an officially recognised framework for use in seismic zones — an important step for structural engineers working on projects in earthquake-prone regions worldwide.
This establishes a credible, authority-backed basis for specifying DELTABEAM® where seismic performance is a design requirement, opening new possibilities for projects across multiple markets globally.
English version available in Q2
An English version of the Avis Technique will be made available in Q2 2025, making the document accessible to international project teams, consultants, and engineers working across borders.
