Traditional rebar splicing where rebars are placed side by side requires a lot of space in the concrete cross-section. In heavy reinforced structures, this is not always possible. One simply cannot get all of the rebars to fit inside the construction in the right place.

Modern rebar couplers make it possible to splice rebars end to end. Rebar couplers are needed in almost all of today’s larger cast-in-situ projects. There are many types of systems on the market. From the customer point of view, the solution has to be flexible, have a short delivery time, be low in cost and easy to assemble without special tools, and – most of all – be able to provide 100% safety.
