Ottmar Walter:
“The customer is always at the center of everything we do—and remains one of our top priorities.
In my daily work, I focus on meeting our customers’ needs by responding quickly, delivering effective solutions, and ensuring quality—always on time. When issues arise, such as incorrect or missing parts, I take immediate action. That often means getting in touch with the customer right away and visiting the site if needed.
To me, strong customer relationships are built on trust, reliability, and being present when it matters most.
That’s also why I regularly visit our customers, listen to their concerns, and make sure I truly understand their expectations. It’s this direct connection that helps guide my work—and keeps us focused on what really matters: delivering real value.”
Philippe Beckers:
“Customer-centricity means putting the customer at the heart of everything we do. It’s about understanding their needs, challenges, and goals and ensuring that our solutions help them succeed. As Peikko celebrates its 60th anniversary, our long-standing commitment to customer satisfaction has been key to our success. We continue to innovate and evolve, always keeping our customers' needs in focus.
Customer needs shape my daily decisions and priorities. Whether it's developing innovative solutions, improving our service processes, or responding quickly to inquiries, I always consider how our actions will benefit the customer. As we celebrate 60 years of Peikko, we recognize that our growth and success have been built on listening to and adapting to our customers' needs. Their feedback helps us refine our products and services, ensuring that we remain a trusted partner for many years to come.”
Jaime de la Vega:
“No problem is too small—if a customer needs a solution, we find one.
That mindset has guided me throughout my career. Having been on the other side of sales, managing purchasing, I know that a good price matters—but only if the solution actually works. That’s where Peikko comes in: we offer both.
My philosophy is to provide exceptional service, support our customers in solving problems, and build lasting relationships based on trust. And it all starts with one thing: listening.
Listening is the beginning of understanding. It’s the key to true customer care. At Peikko, we combine that understanding with the creativity and expertise to deliver real solutions.”
Oleksandr Palyvoda:
“Putting customers first—what does it really mean? It is about more than just delivering products. It’s about truly understanding what our customers need and finding the best solutions to help them succeed. It means listening, advising, and ensuring that every recommendation is the right fit for their projects.
One of the most important ways we support our customers is through education. By organizing meetings and seminars, we help future clients understand how Peikko’s solutions can make their work easier, more efficient, and more reliable. Providing technical and engineering support along the way ensures they have everything they need to move forward with confidence.
Every day, our work is shaped by what our customers need most—whether it’s learning about new technologies, understanding the benefits of innovative solutions, or finding ways to improve efficiency. By focusing on these needs, we don’t just sell products—we build lasting partnerships that help move the industry forward.”
Sergio Montenovo:
"For me, sustainability means respecting our environment, making choices that reduce our impact, and using resources wisely. It’s about finding a balance where quality, efficiency, and environmental consciousness come together.
At Peikko, I integrate sustainability into my daily work by helping customers find solutions that not only meet their design needs but also minimize environmental impact. It’s a fine balance—respecting their vision while making small but meaningful modifications that improve efficiency and sustainability.
One of the most exciting opportunities in our industry is the promotion of green solutions and circular economy principles. Imagine a future where every construction component has its own "identity document," tracking its production date, material properties, and remaining lifespan. With this knowledge, we can repurpose materials intelligently, extending their use beyond a single project. This approach opens the door to a construction industry where the old and the new coexist, creating a more sustainable and resource-efficient future. There’s so much potential to explore, and at Peikko, we have the expertise and the mindset to lead the way.
When working with customers, my approach is always technical first. I believe in offering solutions that work before discussing anything else—because trust is built on knowledge and reliability, not just numbers. I’m not here to sell something that doesn’t meet the highest technical standards. Instead, I work alongside customers to find tailor-made solutions that fit their needs.
What I tell customers during our discussions is simple: I’m not here for your money; I’m here for a solution that benefits us both. Money comes and goes, but trust, open-mindedness, and honest solutions create lasting partnerships. By focusing on these values, we create a space where real problem-solving happens, where new ideas are born, and where both sides grow together.
For me, the real satisfaction comes from being part of the entire process—from calculations and proposals to seeing an idea take shape, step by step. That’s what it means to be an architect: not just designing, but thinking ahead, learning continuously, and never giving up on finding better ways to build.”
Vadim Saija:
"My daily work consists of many diverse tasks, but one of the main ones is understanding our clients’ needs and providing them with reliable, safe, and effective solutions. At Peikko, we recognize that many of our customers may not be experts in construction. With my specialized education and knowledge of Peikko’s innovative products, I deliver tailored solutions to each request. My goal is to ensure every client experiences the confidence and trust that come with choosing Peikko."
Kasia Wiśniowska:
"Customer-centricity is fundamentally about placing customer needs at the forefront of our daily operations. It involves active listening and deep understanding to develop efficient, appropriate solutions for their challenges. At its core, customer-centricity is about creating positive experiences - because ultimately, people will remember how we made them feel.
As a Structural Engineer specializing in DELTABEAM® projects, I consistently work to enhance customers' experience with Peikko products. By focusing on top-quality customer service, I contribute to creating a culture of helpfulness. My daily work is often about effective problem-solving, always asking myself how to best utilize available resources to solve customer challenges optimally. The primary objective is to deliver efficient, reliable solutions that will serve their purpose for years to come.
Customer feedback is invaluable to me - it guides future improvements and developments. When projects conclude, I encourage customers to evaluate whether their needs were met, as this provides an excellent opportunity for reflection and learning. This continuous feedback loop ensures we maintain our customer-centric focus and constantly evolve our service delivery.”
Zsolt Kokrehel:
"Working in the Western Balkans means navigating six distinct markets, each with its own construction culture and practices. It’s a region where new solutions are often embraced only when absolutely necessary, which makes the role of a trusted partner even more critical.
For me, delivering value starts with being reachable and providing quick, precise answers that the customers demand. My background as a structural designer helps me bridge that gap. Customers trust me as Peikko’s representative because they know their needs are in experienced and reliable hands. Proven solutions delivered quickly to job sites, paired with strong local support and long-standing relationships, ensure we’re more than just a supplier—we’re a partner they can count on. Having worked for 13 years with Peikko ensures our customers that the connection is stable and trustworthy.
The challenges in seismically active regions like this demand innovation. For example, Peikko’s bolted connections ensure efficient transport and assembly without compromising quality or safety. Our global expertise combined with local knowledge is what sets us apart, and that’s why Peikko remains essential in the construction industry."
Radka Vimmrová:

At Peikko, we live by the belief that the customer always comes first. For us, this means listening actively, finding tailored solutions, and maintaining open, transparent communication. This approach helps us build trust and long-lasting relationships with every customer. Through strong communication and close collaboration with architects, engineers, and contractors, I aim to ensure that challenges are addressed quickly and effectively. From early design stages to construction, my goal is to be a trusted technical consultant, guiding projects every step of the way.
By understanding the unique needs of each project and focusing on our customers’ needs, we work to provide solutions and services that help their projects succeed.”
Jalo Paananen, founder of Peikko:
It all started with a customer’s problem.
In 1965, a young entrepreneur, Jalo Paananen, saw a gap in the market—something crucial was missing in construction. Steel support connectors for precast buildings were needed, but no one was making them. “This is what we need on-site, but nobody manufactures them,” he was told. Most would have walked away. But Jalo saw an opportunity.
Armed with determination, engineering skills, a welding machine, and two friends, he started making the first ties in a small countryside barn. The solution was simple, but the impact was huge. That was the birth of Peikko—then called Teräspeikko Oy.
From day one, the mission was clear: to help customers and make their building process faster, easier, and safer. And that mission hasn’t changed. Every major innovation, every new product, has been driven by listening to the real needs of customers. Peikko was built on those conversations, and 60 years later, they still guide us.
What started in a barn is now a global company, operating in over 30 countries with manufacturing in 12. With 2,000 dedicated people, we continue to push boundaries, making construction better, one innovation at a time.
“You have to be humble in front of the customer. You have to listen. It’s the only way to success.”
"At Peikko, creating value for our customers means going beyond delivering products. For me as a Regional Sales Manager, this starts with understanding each client’s unique needs and providing tailored solutions that exceed expectations. With 20 years at Peikko, I am dedicated to clear communication and long-term relationships to ensure smooth and efficient project delivery—every time.
Why is Peikko essential in the construction industry? It’s our commitment to innovation, quality, and sustainability. Our advanced connection technologies and composite structures don’t just reduce construction time and costs—they enhance overall project safety and efficiency. By combining global expertise with local knowledge, we provide solutions that are not only cutting-edge but also tailored to each project’s needs.
Moreover, Peikko invests in research and development to anticipate industry trends and address evolving challenges. This focus on continuous improvement allows us to deliver the highest standards in quality and sustainability, setting us apart as a trusted partner in building the future.
These values make Peikko an indispensable player in the construction industry, driving progress and creating lasting impact.”
