IT Specialist

We are looking for an IT Specialist to strengthen our local and global IT Services operations.

Location: Lahti, Finland

Position type: Full time

In this role, you will act as the primary IT contact for Peikko Finland, ensuring high-quality support for both office and production environments, while also contributing to global IT service operations and development.

You will play a key role in bridging local business needs and global IT services, while also taking ownership of Device Services and contributing to Service Desk management and continuous improvement.

This is a hands-on and business-facing role, combining daily IT support with service development responsibilities in an international environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary IT support contact for Peikko Finland, ensuring smooth daily operations and quick resolution of incidents
  • Maintain close collaboration with local business stakeholders to align IT services with business needs
  • Participate in global Service Desk operations and support users across Peikko locations
  • Coordinate local IT activities, including infrastructure, devices, and end-user services
  • Act as service manager for Service Desk operations, driving service quality, reporting, and continuous improvement
  • Lead regular ticket review practices and monitor service performance (e.g., SLA, volumes, trends)
  • Take ownership of global Device Services, including lifecycle management, policies, and user experience development
  • Coordinate device procurement, deployment, leasing lifecycle, and vendor collaboration
  • Support implementation and local adoption of global IT solutions

 

What We Are Looking For

  • Relevant IT education or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience in IT support, Service Desk, or end-user services
  • Good understanding of IT infrastructure, workplace services, and device management
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow) and IT service management principles (e.g., ITIL)
  • Strong customer service mindset and ability to work with business stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Independent, solution-oriented, and structured way of working
  • Experience in a global or matrix organization is seen as an advantage
  • Good English and Finnish communication skills
