M365 Lead

As Peikko continues to evolve its digital workplace and strengthen governance and security practices, there is a growing need for clear ownership, structured development, and consistent governance of Microsoft 365 services at a global level.

Location: Finland

Position type: Full time

We are strengthening this area by introducing an M365 Lead role with responsibility for:

  • Ownership and development of M365 core collaboration services
  • Governance, standardization, and lifecycle management of these services
  • Supporting security, compliance, and data protection within M365
  • Aligning platform capabilities with business needs and IT strategy

This role ensures that M365 services are scalable, secure, and business-aligned globally, while continuously improving user experience and productivity.

 

Your Key Responsibilities

M365 Core Services Ownership & Development

  • Own architecture, configuration, and lifecycle management of SharePoint, Teams, Exchange and OneDrive
  • Ensure services are standardized, scalable, and aligned with global IT strategy
  • Drive continuous development of collaboration, communication, and document management capabilities

Service Governance & Business Alignment

  • Define and enforce governance practices for access, data management, and service usage
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to align M365 services with operational needs
  • Ensure services support productivity, collaboration, and digital ways of working

Security & Compliance (Core Services Focus)

  • Support implementation of security practices within M365 services (e.g., identity, access, and data protection controls)
  • Contribute to development of solutions such as sensitivity labels, data protection, and access policies
  • Ensure compliance requirements are considered in service design and operations

Projects & Continuous Improvement

  • Participate in global M365-related projects (e.g., migrations, rollouts, enhancements)
  • Support Service Desk and IT teams with expertise and guidance
  • Contribute to documentation, communication, and user adoption initiatives
  • Drive continuous improvement of services and ways of working

Work closely with the Global IT Services team, business stakeholders and end users across Peikko, IT management and enterprise architecture, and external partners in the Microsoft ecosystem. You also ensure consistent and efficient service delivery across all locations.
 

Your profile

  • Relevant higher education in IT or equivalent experience
  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365 services (SharePoint, Teams, Exchange, OneDrive)
  • Experience in M365 administration, configuration, and service development
  • Understanding of M365 security and compliance concepts (e.g., access control, data protection)
  • Knowledge of governance and lifecycle management in cloud services
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to take ownership of service areas and work independently
  • Ability to communicate technical topics to business stakeholders
  • Good English skills
