Every construction project is a series of decisions about speed and safety, materials and cost, durability and future use. Today, these choices also include carbon, energy, and resource efficiency, often without adding complexity.
That’s the context behind Peikko’s first sustainability report, published in 2025. Its purpose is simple: to make key ESG topics, targets, and progress clear and practical. While not mandatory, the report follows the VSME voluntary reporting standard to support transparency and better collaboration.
At Peikko, sustainability is closely linked to how structures are designed, manufactured, and installed. Simpler installation improves safety, efficient material use reduces waste and emissions, and adaptable structures extend building lifecycles. Therefore, creating value for both customers and the wider built environment.
The report brings this work together, showing how Peikko contributes to lower‑impact construction through concrete solutions: from lower‑carbon energy use and improved material efficiency to circular design. Solutions like DELTABEAM® Green and DELTABEAM® Green Reuse support disassembly, reuse, and flexible lifecycles, while hybrid structures help reduce unnecessary carbon across projects.

Construction Goes Circular® iN ARNHEM, NETHERLANDS
Peikko hosted its first Construction Goes Circular® event outside Finland on May 20, 2026, in Arnhem, the Netherlands. The one-day conference brought together insightful presentations on circular construction, highlighting practical solutions, best practices, and approaches shaping the future of the industry.
PEIKKO PARTICIPATING IN NORDIC BUSINESS CALL FOR A CLEAN AND COMPETITIVE EUROPE
📢 Ahead of the European Commission EU ETS review in summer 2026, 80 large Nordic companies have issued a joint call to strengthen the EU Emissions Trading System as a foundation for Europe’s climate ambition and global competitiveness.
Nordic businesses representing 80 large companies, with annual revenues of €303 billion and employing 653 000 people, underline that clean competitiveness is already a reality. The Nordic experience demonstrates how early investment, technological leadership, and market integration can deliver both industrial resilience and rapid decarbonization at scale.
The call highlights key priorities for EU decision makers:
✅ Secure a predictable and consistent EU Emissions Trading System that supports industrial transformation, innovation, and fair competition, without penalizing early movers who invested in decarbonization ahead of others.
✅ Channel ETS auctioning revenues back to industries and transport operators to finance innovation and the investments required for the transition.
✅ Provide a credible long-term framework that gives investors confidence, strengthens productivity, lowers energy costs, and reinforces Europe’s strategic resilience. Nordic business stands ready to co-invest, co-innovate, and co-deliver within a stable and technology-neutral policy framework.
