Peikko Group’s German subsidiary Peikko Deutschland GmbH has acquired the German company KHK Verbindetechnik GmbH. KHK is specialized in forging activities. The company has modern production premises of 2 500 m2 situated in Brotterode and it employs 14 people. Peikko buys 100% of KHK’s shares and its employees continue to work for Peikko. The company’s assets include materials, machinery, and the production and office premises.
The acquisition strengthens Peikko’s position particularly in the punching reinforcement segment. The largest market for Peikko’s PSB Punching Reinforcement System is currently in Central Europe. Also Peikko’s wind turbine foundation solution uses PSB technology. KHK offers new forging capacity that can be used in the PSB manufacture to remarkably raise capacity and shorten lead times.
“The KHK acquisition gives us possibilities to increase sales of our PSB System. This acquisition is important for us as it brings Peikko the needed, reliable and immediate capacity increase in a very important segment. We are happy to welcome KHK’s specialists to Peikko’s team”, states Topi Paananen, CEO of Peikko Group Corporation.
