Peikko Group’s Danish subsidiary Peikko Danmark APS has received the order for 7.7 kilometres of DELTABEAMs to the new office building of Nordea Bank in Ørestad, Copenhagen. Peikko’s delivery also includes PCs Corbels and PETRA Slab Hangers. The deliveries will start in August 2014 and end in March 2015.
The new Nordea office comprises 40.000 m2 and will house up to 2 200 employees. The building will be ready in 2016. It will have Scandinavia’s largest trading floor of 5 500 m2. An architect competition was held and Henning Larsen Architects and a team consisting of Signal Architects and SLA Landscape Architects won the competition. The structural design is made by Cowi and contractor of the project is MT Højgaard. The building will achieve the highest LEED certification.
“Preparation of this project has been ongoing for the last year in close cooperation with the Cowi, Henning Larsen Architects and the MT Højgaard. We are very proud that our DELTABEAMs were selected as the slim-floor structure for such a big and significant project”, states Topi Paananen, CEO of Peikko Group Corporation.
