The building was designed by Raymond SC Wan Architect, with structural engineering by Crosier Kilgour & Partners Ltd. and Concord Projects Ltd. served as the general contractor.
To meet the project’s headroom requirements, DELTABEAM® Composite Beams were used in combination with hollowcore slabs to form a slim floor structure. By integrating within the slab, DELTABEAM® reduced structural depth and eliminated dropped beams, creating a flat soffit and more open interior space. With fewer obstructions, HVAC systems can be coordinated more efficiently within the available space.
DELTABEAM® Composite Beam’s integrated fire resistance eliminated the need for additional fireproofing.
In this project, DELTABEAM® supported a practical, space-efficient solution in senior housing, where accessibility, efficiency, and long-term usability were key considerations.
