Executive Assistant to the CEO

Are you a positive, service-oriented person who thrives on variety and enjoys keeping things running smoothly in an international environment?

Position type: Full time

We're seeking an experienced and proactive Executive Assistant to support our CEO.

Your key responsibilities will include managing the CEO's calendar, coordinating meetings, preparing materials, and handling travel arrangements. You'll provide high-level administrative support, ensuring priorities are met, deadlines are respected, and projects move forward seamlessly.

You'll be the connection between the CEO and various stakeholders, including internal teams, external partners, and authorities. You'll also coordinate meetings, visits, and travel for our Group Management Team and Board of Directors.

In addition, you will work closely with our Vice President of Human Resources on HR initiatives, including tasks related to Peikko’s new Human Resources Management System and providing support to the Group HR team in other HR matters.

We're looking for someone who works with flexibility, initiative, and independence. You have a keen eye for detail and follow through on all tasks, including day-to-day responsibilities. You handle confidential and sensitive matters with utmost discretion and maintain the high level of confidentiality required at the executive level. You stay calm, proactive, and find solutions even when working under pressure.

You'll report directly to our CEO. This position is based in Lahti, Finland, and requires office presence with the possibility of remote work one day per week.

 

Your knowledge, skills & experience

  • A university degree in business or equivalent qualification
  • At least 5 years of full-time experience supporting a CEO or executive team, ideally in an international company
  • Excellent written and spoken skills in both Finnish and English; additional languages are a strong plus
  • Strong organizational, teamwork, and communication abilities
  • A proactive approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility with working hours and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
  • Solid IT skills and experience with digital tools (including MS Office suite, Teams, and AI tools like Copilot), plus eagerness to learn new technologies
  • Experience with HR systems is a significant advantage
